I am a licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology. I have been practicing since 2002, working with clients of all ages in a variety of settings.
A native of NC, I earned my bachelor of arts in psychology from North Carolina State University, graduating summa cum laude in 1999. I then earned both my masters of science and my doctor of psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, graduating in 2005. I became licensed to practice in North Carolina in 2005, first as LPA and then as a licensed psychologist in 2007.
I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and non-profit agencies. My work has included leading therapy groups, parenting classes, individual and family therapy sessions, play therapy, psychological testing, and professional consultations. I have been very privileged to work with some wonderful people and have enjoyed a wide range of experiences. I began my private practice in the winter of 2010 and became a Gottman Bringing Baby Home Certified Educator in 2015. In 2017 I joined the Amslee Institute as an adjunct professor and consultant.
